DESIGN GOALS
- Narrative focus – Characters have flaws, goals, and bonds with other characters. Exceptional roleplay is rewarded with XP.
- Crunchy, but not – Combat allows strategic options, but is fast and simple with rules that get out of the way as much as possible. d100 is used for all checks, and d6 is used for damage.
- Deadly yet forgiving – Combat is deadly enough to create a sense of real danger, but there are systems in place to avoid insta-death from an unlucky dice roll.
- MMO-style co-op – You are encouraged to focus on creating a character that fills a role within the group. Having a party composed of tank, DPS, healer, and support roles is key.
- Customizable builds – There are no classes. The point-based character creation encourages you to focus on a role while allowing you the flexibility to break out of cookie-cutter molds.
- Nuanced equipment choice - Larger weapons do more damage, but give you an initiative penalty. Heavier armor makes you less maneuverable and stealthy.
- Morale mechanics
